Part of the larger Virunga Conservation Area, it sits on the slopes of three dramatic extinct volcanoes: Mount Muhavura, Mount Gahinga, and Mount Sabinyo. It is the only place in Uganda where mountain gorillas (silverbacks) and golden monkeys (gold) co-exist, offering a truly unique primate experience.
