Day 1:
Arrival & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Upon arrival at the park or transfer from Entebbe/Kampala, check into your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the savanna. In the afternoon, embark on a world-class boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. This 32km natural waterway is home to one of the world’s highest concentrations of hippos, as well as massive Nile crocodiles and an incredible variety of water birds. Observe elephants and buffaloes coming to the water’s edge to drink in the golden afternoon light

Day 2:
Kasenyi Game Drive & Kyambura Chimp Trekking

Start the day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains. This is the best time to spot predators like lions and leopards as they conclude their nightly hunts, alongside herds of Uganda Kob, elephants, and Cape buffalo.

Afternoon Option: Head to the dramatic Kyambura Gorge, also known as the “Valley of Apes.” This 100-meter deep chasm is home to a community of habituated chimpanzees. Descend into the tropical rainforest on the gorge floor for a guided trek to find these intelligent primates. Alternatively, enjoy a scenic nature walk or a visit to the nearby salt crater lakes..

Day 3:
Ishasha Tree-Climbing Lions & Departure

After breakfast, drive to the southern Ishasha sector of the park. This area is world-famous for its rare tree-climbing lions, often seen lounging in the sprawling branches of ancient fig trees. After a morning of searching for these iconic predators and other wildlife like Topi antelopes, begin your journey back to Entebbe or your next destination. Enjoy a scenic drive with a lunch stop along the way, arriving in the evening for your flight or hotel drop-off.
