10 Days Uganda Wildlife and primate safari gets you to Uganda, an angelic country in East Africa, known for the highest concentration of primates in east Africa there are primate types that have been recorded in several ecosystems, our 10 Days Uganda wildlife safari and primates will take you to explore the best of Uganda, visiting a blend of ecosystems including the Murchison falls national park in the north, Kibale forest national park, Kidepo valley national park one of the true African wildernesses,  and the Bwindi impenetrable national park. This park hosts half population of the worlds remaining population of mountain gorillas, they live amicably with other forest creatures whilst in the other national parks you will have the chance to see a variety of animal species.

Detailed itinerary – 10 Days Uganda Wildlife and primate safari

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe international airport

Upon arrival you will be welcomed by our company representative who will help you out at the airport with check in, meet and greet after which will guide through Entebbe, in cases where you arrive in early, you will have some time to visit the Victoria mall in order to purchase a few this you might have missed for your African wilderness, we will then proceed to the hotel that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight

Day 2: Fly to Kidepo Valley national park

Early morning breakfast, a ground transfer by our guide will be done to the airport for your domestic flight to Kidepo valley national park(2h30m) the conservation area is Uganda’s most remote corner to the far north it is known for endemic species which can only be seen while here, on landing our lodge representative will pick you up as our guide will also be on ground, check-in , have lunch and an afternoon game drive, expect to see wildlife like waterbucks, Jackson hartebeests, oribi, buffaloes, the drive will end in sundowner along the rock kopjes dotted in so many spots of the national park returning for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 3: Game drives and Lorukul community visit

Wake up to a mouth dropping breakfast, you will then be guided to the park in search of wildlife, look out on the rock kopjes for lions, rock hyrax, through the endless savannah grassy lands there is more life on animal activity like zebras, elands, Rothschild’s giraffes, leopards, ostriches, bushbucks, warthogs, elephants. The dotted borassus palms along the dry river beds gives the park a composure of one of the best places to be, returning to the lodge for lunch and an after visit to the Karamojong community, they are a group of nomadic pastoralists living along the slopes of mountain morungule, they will perform their traditional dance, jump, and entertain, travelers are free to join in on participation, returning to the lodge on game drive and sundowner.

Day 4: Transfer to Murchison falls national park

Murchison falls national park is up-close from Kidepo, following an early morning breakfast, we will be transferred back to Uganda’s largest conservation area, it is home to the so called big four of the wilderness, it is famous for the great Murchison falls, the park is one of the oldest conservation areas of Uganda bisected into 2 by the Victoria Nile, it has 2 precious banks the northern and southern bank, the northern bank of Pakuba qualifies with higher numbers of animals compared to the south. The journey takes approximately +/- 4 hours’ drive to arrive at the destination, dinner and staying overnight at the hotel that has been booked

Day 5: Game drives and Boat cruise to the bottom of the falls

Breakfast, on this day after breakfast, we will drive to the northern bank in search of animal species, the biodiverse ecosystem is comprised of a different habitats which act as home to wildlife species that call this home, through the well distributed trails expect to see lions, side stripped hyenas, waterbucks, bush bucks, warthogs, Jackson hartebeests , and man bird species to encounter, returning for lunch and an afternoon boat cruise along to the bottom of the falls, this is one of the highlights of the park it is superb to view along the banks of the river , expect to see water animals like the Nile crocodiles and hippos

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale forest national park

Following an early morning breakfast, we will be transferred to the primate of capitals in the western part of Uganda, this is an all-day drive taking approximately +/-9 hours’ drive from north passing through small villages and towns, towards the park is Kagadi district as you approach Kabarole, we will have lunch enroute, arriving in the evening for check-in and relaxation from the long drive at your lodge veranda while sipping a cup of coffee.

Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk

On this day we will assemble at the park headquarters for a chimpanzee tracking morning session, a Uganda wildlife ranger briefs travelers the do’s and don’ts while in the national park, rules/regulations on primates will be communicated as well, chimpanzee are man’s closest relatives, they have been scientifically proven to share up to 98 % of the human DNA, living in tis forest. Kibale forest has got the highest concentration of chimpanzee in Uganda in that there are higher chances of seeing them here compared to any other place, it takes 2-3 hours tracking the primates. We will then return to meet your guide for lunch and an afternoon Bigodi swamp walk, expect to see more of primates like the black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys and many birds of the forest.

Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable national park

Following breakfast, we will transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park through the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park for tree climbing lions, the Ishasha sector is a buffer zone of animals which you will spot dotted along the road side, we will arrive at the home of Mountain gorillas in the late evening, for check in at your preferred lodge. The misty forest is an amazing destination most sought of by many travelers, feel the breeze of the coldness of the region relax by a camp fire as we wait for the following days adventure highlight of seeing the world’s largest primate species.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking experience

Early morning breakfast, after which we will be transferred to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking experience, It begins in the morning with a briefing from the authorities, these will tell you of the does and do notes while with the primates, gorillas live in families of up to 20 members led by a male silverback, the families have steadily grown in number thanks to the conservation policies, in groups of 8 members you will be allowed to trek it takes 2-8 hours doing the activity an hour is allowed while with them interact and take pictures, you will then return to meet your guide who will take you to the facility for your stay overnight

Day 10: Departure

Following an early morning breakfast, we will return to Entebbe inorder for you to catch your international flight back home.
