Our 2 days Mabamba Swamp and Entebbe tour will take you to experience birds of the Mabamba Swamp, the area is known for the critically endangered species of the shoe bill stock, they are attracted to the region because of the lung fish which is a major food for them to eat, they have greatly reduced in number as they are hunted by fishermen who also look at the lungfish for business, thanks to the continued conservation purposes the swamp is registered as one of the most important wetland areas and birding areas of Uganda and a Ramsar site, there are over 300 species of birds found here and in season these are joined by migratory birds from all over Africa. We will have the chance to explore Entebbe on a half-day tour to experience the Uganda Wildlife Education Center and shop at the Victoria Mall.

Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Uganda Wildlife Education Center and afternoon visit to the Victoria Mall.
On this day you will be welcomed by our company representative from beautiful safaris Uganda who will meet you from an agreed point or at the Entebbe International Airport and transfer you to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center a few kilometers away from the airport, the sanctuary is home to orphaned animals from conservation areas, they work majorly to rescue these from danger, while here you will enjoy a behind the scenes experience with the zoo workers, coming close to the animals is a super enjoyable activity, you feed giraffes, Rhinos and involve in other duties after we will return for a. Later lunch a visit to the Victoria mall for shopping, and catching an evening coffee after we will return to accommodation that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight
Day 2: Mabamba Swamp and departure.
Early morning breakfast after which we will be transferred to the doc to take your canoe ride along the Marshy swampy papyrus rides, in search of the shoebill stork together with an experienced guide who will tell you more of the bird species that are present here, expect to see shoe bill, pink backed pelicans, sunbirds, malachite kingfishers, fish eagles, crows, black-headed herons to mention a few, we return departure or a stay overnight in Entebbe.
