1.Kampala city
Kampala is the only capital city of Uganda situated in central part of Uganda on the seven hills and among one of the 146 districts Uganda have, Kampala is Uganda’s national commercial capital bordering Lake Victoria the Africa largest lake. 2.Lake victoria
Lake Victoria is one of the African Great Lakes with surface approximately 59,947 kilometres as is Africa’s largest lake by area, the world’s largest tropical Lake, being shared by three East African countries i.e., Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. River White Nile or Victoria Nile and Katonga river both flows out from Lake Victoria, Different activities are carried on the lake i.e., boat excursions, birdwatching, fishing trips optional swimming.
3.Jinja
Jinja is a town located in the southeast of Uganda, on the shores of Lake Victoria, known as the adventure capital of East Africa due to its various attractions such as, the world’s longest river, which offers activities as bungee jumping, jet boating, kayaking, beaches, islands, white water rafting and more. Due to its history of agriculture, industrialization, Jinja also has great accommodation facilitation both luxury, midrange and budget accommodation making it the second largest urban district after Uganda’s capital Kampala. 4.Sipi Falls
Sipi falls is usually the starting point for many hikers looking to scale Mount Elgon. The falls are also popular for the cool weather, the ice-cold water which is some describes as healing when dove into and the unique variety of Arabic coffee plantations across, these falls are located on the edge of the Mountain Elgon National Park giving it spectacular views. 5.Kalangala insland
Kalangala island is known as Ssese a district in the central part of Uganda, the district is coterminous with the Ssese islands in the Lake Victoria and located in the northern shores Bugala island, comprised of 84 islands all around Lake Victoria, surrounded by Lake Victoria with area 9,066.8 kilometers only 432.1 kilometers (4.8%) is land and the rest is water, the island can be reached by a ferry that docks Nakiwogo in Entebbe approximately 3 hours and half.
Tourists can do many activities here likes of nature walks, beach games, canoeing, swimming, boat cruising, visit to Nanziri falls on Bukasa island, sports fishing, cultural experience and many more.
6. Kidepo valley national park
Kidepo valley national park is a 1,442 square meter (557 sq mi) national park in the Karamoja region in the North East Uganda, Kidepo is rugged savannah, dominated by the 2,750 metres (9,020 ft), famous for its main attractions in the park harboring number of birds, great wild animals culture diversity by the Karimojong people and famous for the Kanangorok hot springs.
7.murchison falls nationl park
Murchison falls national park being the largest national park in Uganda it has great wildlife, falls and most birding area for the endangered shoebill stork, the National Park is developed with classy accommodation to make guests feel home away from home. Holding the strongest falls in the world mark the unique destination through adventure.
The park is located 305 kilometers North of Kampala taking 4-5 hours using safari van, the park is bisected Victoria falls plunging 45 meters over remnant valley wall, creating dramatic sound falls. 10.Queen elizabeth national park
Queen Elizabeth National Park covers an area about 1978 sq. km large This area is home to a unique selection of mammals, about 95 species and is known for its abundant wildlife, including African Elephants, African Buffaloes, Ugandan Kobs, Hippos, Water bucks, Giant Forest warthogs and rich with birding spots across the Kazinga channel. Queen Elizabeth National Park is the second largest national park in Uganda after Murchison falls national park and holds a lot of activities like the Chimp trekking in the Kyambura Gorge, Game drive at the Mweya Penisula, Tree climbing lions at Ishasha sector, Boat cruising at Kazinga channel, crater lakes visit mostly popular salt mining lake Katwe and many more.
- Mout Rwenzori national park
Rwenzori national park is world heritage site in the Rwenzori Mountain almost 1000 km in size, the park has Africa’s third highest mountain peak and many water falls, lakes, rivers, glaciers, beautiful flora and fauna. T he unique landscape of the Rwenzori Mountain range is outstanding, with the far biggest glaciers in Africa. Activities to do in Rwenzori includes nature walks, cultural encounter, hiking, volcanic climbing, birding like spot of the Rwenzori turaco, white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and more.
