Wildlife game drives in Uganda.

Uganda is a hidden gem in the East African part of Africa, It is a small angelic country presenting so much to see, it is blessed with unique animal species and over 1000 bird types, and the mixed blend of the pearl of  Africa gives it a beautiful sensational feel, Wildlife game drives are conducted in the Savannah ecosystems including the Murchison falls national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Kidepo Valley national park a gym of the great African wilderness, Lake Mburo national park, and the Semliki national park all these conservation areas present something different from the topographic composition to climate and mammals.

Game drives in Murchison Falls National Park are conducted through the well-distributed trails of the conservation area this is Uganda’s largest and oldest park known for the great Murchison Fall after which it was named and it is bisected by the Victoria Nile which is a beautiful spot of mammal species. Game drives are done in sessions, beginning early at 8:00 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. Early morning drives are much better as you get to capture the best moment of animal activity, They are up to hunt for the carnivores or graze, and expect to see animal species like lions, elephants, buffaloes, Jackals, Roth children’s giraffes to mention a few.

Kidepo Valley National Park is one of the most isolated national parks in the country Situated in the semi-arid region of the country it is known for its endemic species which can only be seen here and nowhere else in Uganda, There are several species including the rock hyrax, lions, elands, Jackson’s hartebeests to mention a few the drives are done in the morning, and evening times, these usually end in sundowners overlooking the rolling mountains of Morungule and savannah plains. The journey to the park is approximately +/-11 hours to the destination, It is long btw then worth it when you meet the magic that happens here.

Queen Elizabeth National Park boasts a biodiverse environment ranging from the savannah grassy land, forests, lakes, and dotted crater lakes, These act as home to the many wildlife species of the national park, It is famous for the tree-climbing lions to the south of the Ishasha sector, Game drives allow visitors a chance to get up close with wildlife more so the big game such as elephants, leopards, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, and many other species. It is a perfect place to see birds in Uganda so along the Mweya peninsular visitors can visit most of the areas of the park in search of wildlife.

Other places to do game drives include Lake Mburo National Park in the western part of Uganda and Semliki National Park in Fort Portal, This presents a unique experience of the congo species and natural happenings like the hot springs of the park, Game drives are conducted using 4×4 wheel car drive, to beat the tough terrain of the African wilderness, they are designed to meet the perfect purpose with open roof just enough to view animals and take pictures, normally the drive is a guide who is proficient with the language you understand best.
